Work

I work for a company that creates financial modelling software. I write documentation to help people use the software. I explore the software and suggest improvements. I create example models to help me learn how to use the software.

In 2002, I began working part time. I wanted to find a better balance between work, study, and other parts of my life. In 2010, I began working from home. My employer was encouraging people to work from home, because we were moving to a new office that was not large enough for all of us. I like not having a tiring journey to and from work. Working from home makes it much easier for me to respond to urgent work requests that occur outside my usual working hours. At home, I have much more control over my work environment than I would have in a communal office.
